Meet Erika

Hi, I’m Erika! I’m a creative entrepreneur, photographer, and educator. My husband Jake and I live in Charleston, SC with our 16, 17 & 18 year old daughters & 2 dogs. Whether I’m teaching photography, planning a new project, or just enjoying a time with my family, I’m always looking for ways to bring a little more creativity into the world. Over the years, photography has taken me in some exciting directions. From creating timeless portraits and stunning landscapes since 2007 to teaching over online photography courses, I’ve built my career around capturing and sharing the beauty I see. I also love helping others turn their creative spark into something amazing, whether it’s through my classes or my upcoming YouTube channel, where we’ll share projects, ideas, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of our adventures.My dream is to spend more time traveling, exploring the outdoors, and living life on my own terms, one creative step at a time. NEXT LEVEL PHOTO EDUCATION

Next Level Photo Education offers creative and hands-on courses, from beginner basics to advanced techniques for ages 3-18 on Outschool. Whether you’re looking for a live Zoom or Self-paced course, we have classes to fit your goals. Since 2018, we’ve taught over 2,000 students worldwide.

Our Business of Photography course will be available in March for those who want to start or revamp a photography business. I love to share what I have learned through trying out every specialty there is (Click portfolio at the top to see what I mean) and this course makes it easy to figure out how to move forward towards building a profitable business.
