Specializing in children's photography, many types of sessions are available both at my home studio and on location. Traditional studio sessions are great for the cold winter months, while more of my clients choose outdoor sessions during warmer seasons. My goal is for all of the kiddos I photograph to have a great time and feel like part of the process. Being photographed shouldn't feel like a chore! I also want to capture each child's unique personality while making the process of having portraits done easy for the parents!
I am also a certified elementary teacher and am working on my Master's degree in Special Education. Photography classes and workshops are available for both kids and adults. One on one mentoring is also an option for both the hobbyist and professional photographer.
Rethink digital files! Most people find they are happier receiving printed artwork from their portrait sessions than files. Prints, canvases and books are my most popular products to show off those faves!
"There are dreamers, and there are realists in this world. You'd think the dreamers would find the dreamers and the realists would find the realists, but more often than not, the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists, well without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground."

Confession: I'm the dreamer and I have more ideas than I could ever execute. My husband, Jake, recently left his job in the coal mine to help me pursue my dreams. I have so many fun mini sessions, new session locations, crazy sets and classes for everyone planned for this year and I am so excited for the future of Erika Hatfield Photography!
"What more can I say than Erika is the BEST?! She is so patient and creative and gets the perfect shot!
She has done maternity, newborn, family, holiday, and baby portraits for us. I have beautiful pictures
